Poll: Latinos overwhelmingly support protecting consumers

The Great Recession wiped out the wealth of many Americans, and Latinos were disproportionally affected. After years of recovery, the policies of the Trump administration now threaten the gains made by American families.

This is not the country most Americans want to see: A new poll shows that most Latino voters believe in strong protections to protect consumers and help prevent the risky financial practices that led to the economic crash.

The results of the poll—conducted by our staff and Latino Decisions— offer a clear repudiation to efforts that are underway to dismantle the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB).
