UnidosUS on ICE Workplace Raid in Texas

April 4, 2019

“Yesterday’s workplace raid demonstrates, once again, that the Trump administration is not focusing its enforcement activities on real safety concerns; instead, it’s hell-bent on ripping more families apart and reaping devastation upon more American children. These deportation tactics focusing on working families, many of whom are parents to U.S.-citizen children and have deep community and family ties. These tactics cause havoc and do nothing to fix our national immigration system,” said Carlos Guevara, Senior Policy Advisor, UnidosUS.

A recent study conducted by UnidosUS shows the administration’s deportation practices stand to impact nearly 6 million U.S.-citizen children by threatening their health and wellness, educational attainment, and undercutting their economic outlook.
