WASHINGTON, DC—Today, UnidosUS (formerly NCLR), the nation’s largest Hispanic civil rights and advocacy organization, announced that four of the leading Democratic presidential candidates will attend the 2019 UnidosUS Annual Conference’s Monday Luncheon, taking place at the San Diego Convention Center, on Monday, August 5, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Former Vice President Joe Biden, U.S. Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA), U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), and U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders (D-VT) will be in attendance at the Monday afternoon event, “Vision 2020: A Conversation with the Candidates.” The afternoon discussion will allow each candidate to deliver remarks before attendees and engage in a question and answer period. The event will also feature the participation of UnidosUS President and CEO Janet Murguía.

“We are excited to be hosting the presidential candidates at our Annual Conference, which is the largest convening for Latinos in this country. Our community is looking forward to hearing from them on key issues like education, immigration, health care and the economy, among others. Latinos are going to play an increasingly important role in deciding races across the country, including our next president, and are anxious to be engaged by candidates who can provide concrete ideas and proposed solutions for the issues that matter to them most,” said UnidosUS President and CEO Janet Murguía.

Press wishing to attend the event must register for the Annual Conference through our registration portal: http://www.cvent.com/d/mgq615/4W. For additional information about logistics, please refer to our press kit available here.
