WASHINGTON, D.C.—NCLR (National Council of La Raza) will gather in Orlando, Fla., July 23–25, to celebrate the city’s growing Latino community during its 2016 National Latino Family Expo. The Expo will feature six unique pavilions that boast more than 125 exhibitors. The National Latino Family Expo is free and open to the public.

Attendees will be able to access the latest reports from NCLR, connect and interview with local employers, and enjoy performances by talented musicians, such as Atención Atención and Frankie Negrón. Additionally, visitors can receive free vision, dental, and other health screenings at our Health and Fitness/Tu Salud pavilion, as well as view healthy cooking demonstrations and participate in fitness sessions. The Orlando City Soccer Club Fan Truck will also be onsite with a mobile soccer field for kids.

At the Community/El Barrio pavilion, visitors can meet with financial counselors and network directly with employers. Visitors can also enjoy the sounds of salsa, merengue, and rock music performed by local bands. Children will get the chance to meet popular characters like Minions, Transformers, the Bullseye dog from Target, the GEICO Gecko, and Kingston, the Orlando City Soccer Club lion, at the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The Career and Education/Tus Oportunidades pavilion will offer guests tips on interviewing and writing their resume. NCLR’s Job Fair for local Orlando residents will also take place at this pavilion all day Saturday and Sunday. The Children/Para Los Niños pavilion will feature games, face painting, and bumper cars for children ages 4–12. The whole family can also enjoy the displays at the STEAM/Tu Futuro pavilion, dedicated to showcasing innovations in science and technology that will improve our everyday lives. At this pavilion, children can participate in interactive science experiments.

The NCLR National Latino Family Expo, co-title sponsored by UPS and Sunshine Health, is a unique and engaging annual event for Latino families.
