WASHINGTON, DC—On Thursday, October 27 at 11 a.m. EST, NCLR (National Council of La Raza) will hold a telephonic press conference to release results of two new polls of Latinos’ views on the economy and health care, as well as fresh numbers on Latino voters’ views on the presidential candidates and other key election topics. One of the polls to be released contains oversamples in Florida, a key swing state, as well as Texas and California. The national polls, conducted by Latino Decisions, a national leader in Latino political opinion research, also includes an oversample of Latino millennials, an increasingly pivotal voting bloc that is helping to fuel the growth of the eligible Latino electorate. Each year, more than 900,000 young Latinos turn 18 and become eligible to vote.

Polls include Latino voters’ attitudes on a range of economic issues, including findings on views toward the state of the economy, economic optimism for the future, college affordability and debt, housing and home ownership, tax policy, job creation, and Social Security. The health care polls will include detailed findings on views on the Affordable Care Act, health care, health insurance costs, and concerns and views toward federal programs such as Medicaid, Head Start, and SNAP.

To RSVP, please contact Camila Gallardo, Assistant Director of Communications, NCLR at cgallardo@nclr.org or (305) 215-4259.
