Jared Nordlund

Florida State Director

Based in Orlando, Florida, Jared Nordlund is a Senior Strategist for the UnidosUS (formerly National Council of La Raza) Civic Engagement team. His work with UnidosUS focuses on increasing the level of Latino participation in the American political process by turning citizens into voters and voters into community advocates.

Nordlund works with fellow Civic Engagement team members, UnidosUS Affiliates, and community allies to execute local voter registration drives, get-out-the-vote voter contact campaigns, issue-based activities, and community organizing.

In Florida, his responsibility is to raise the visibility of UnidosUS’s position on immigration, healthcare, housing, and education, as well as educate and activate Latinos to vote on Election Day. He represents UnidosUS before policymakers, industry representatives, community leaders, and other local stakeholders.

Prior to his work at UnidosUS, Nordlund was the Florida Data Manager for America Votes, overseeing voter contact targeting and analysis for member organizations. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Minnesota.
