About the program

The Cultura, Aprendizaje, Servicio, Acción (CASA) service-learning project is geared at middle school students. CASA's goal is to foster academic learning within a context that speaks to students' cultural and linguistic background. Participants acquire the necessary skills to address a genuine need in the Latino community through volunteer activities and other learning experiences.

CASA is made possible thanks to support from State Farm.

Neighbor's Corner Blog

The Neighbor’s Corner is a blog series written by CASA Affiliates playing on State Farm’s motto “like a good neighbor, State Farm is there.”

Instructors and students write their personal stories about participating in CASA. These blogs highlight the work of CASA in preparing students for college through service-learning.
