UnidosUS Letter to President Biden on Priorities for the Latino Community
In a letter sent April 25, 2022, UnidosUS wrote President Biden with a slate of requests for his use of executive power on behalf of the Latino community.
The letter covers a wide range of issues, including immigration, education, tax credits, and housing. Specifically, the letter raises the ways in which the Administration can: promote the contributions of immigrant essential workers and first responders; protect low-income working families from losing needed health insurance coverage and struggling with rising food prices; fight for a diverse working class; invest in the next generation; and secure the right to vote for every eligible voter.
